At 5:48 pm Kosciusko Police were called to Wal-Mart for a report of a shoplifter. Management said a black male left in a black Dodge pickup. He was last seen traveling south on highway 35. Attala Deputies were notified to be on the look out for the truck outside of the city limits.
At 2:30 pm Kosciusko Police was called to Kosciusko Furniture for a report of a hit and run. The caller said the vehicle that left the scene was a white car with damage to the drivers side. One man was arrested on felony drug charges after a search warrant conducted by city and county officers. At 5:34 pm Attala Deputies, The Mississippi Highway Patrol, MedStat EMS along with Attala Fire and Rescue responded to a report of a one vehicle MVA on highway 43 south approximately one mile south of the highway 14 intersection. Units arrived on scene and notified responding units that there were no injuries. According to emergency personnel the driver swerved to avoid hitting a deer when they lost control of the vehicle.

City Fire responded to a house fire before midnight Sunday evening.
