SALLIS, Miss.–A person called police and reported that a person had apparently overdosed on drugs and run into her mailbox. The caller told dispatchers that the person appeared to have narcotics in their lap and was unconscious.
That was about 6:45 p.m. on Attala Rd. 4225, near Sallis.
A deputy called back in and said that Narcan had been administered.
Deputies began a narcotics investigation.
That was one of two overdose incidents in the county between Friday and Saturday where Narcan was administered to bring the person back.
