The Kosciusko Police Department and City of Kosciusko recognized four citizens today for their heroic actions in saving two small children who wandered onto a busy highway Friday morning.
Aaron Roebuck was the first to spot the children, using his vehicle to block traffic. George Pilgrim, Jeri Pilgrim, and Kayla Hodges also stopped their vehicles and safely removed the children from harm.
The incident occurred after the children walked out of the unlocked front door of Wee Kids Daycare.
All four citizens were awarded certificates with the following inscription: “In recognition of your courageous act on Friday, October 4, 2024, where your swift action protected the lives of precious children. Your bravery exemplifies the highest values of heroism and compassion.”
