A Good Night’s Sleep in MS? Good Luck!

If your co-workers yawn a lot each morning, it really should come as no surprise.  There’s a study out that says Mississippi is the second-most sleep deprived state in the country.  The website BetMGM commissioned a survey of 2,400 Americans and found that those in Nevada are the only ones who get less sleep than Mississippians– an average of six hours and 51 minutes in Nevada, six hours and 52 minutes in Mississippi.

Part of the problem, according to the survey, is how long it takes us to fall asleep– almost an hour, on average.   About 41 per cent of Mississippians reported having trouble getting to sleep.

South Dakota residents come the closest to getting the recommended eight hours of sleep.  The study found the average there was seven hours and 40 minutes of sleep.
