Firefighters in Attala responded to five separate grass fires caused by downed power lines during Tuesdays storm.
According to ACFD Chief Tim Cox, crews were dispatched to Road 2270, West Adams Extension, Road 4202, Road 4114, and Road 5006, with assistance from departments including McCool, Carmack, Sallis, and Providence volunteers.
One fire on Road 4114 was extinguished by rain before responders arrived.
All fires were successfully contained without any injuries.
