SALLIS, Miss.–Attala County deputies decided to call off a chase Friday night when the person was going at speeds nearing 100 mph on Hwy. 12 west.
The chase began about 10 p.m. It was unclear from radio communications why deputies were behind the car.
The chase speeds varied as several deputies joined, calmly following several car lengths behind.
Once the car passed Hwy. 429 near Sallis, headed toward Holmes County, traffic on the highway was a bit heavier and deputies decided to call off the chase.
