A home on Hwy 12 East in the McCool area caught fire during a storm on Monday afternoon.
The call came in around 3:20 p.m. reporting that lightning may have struck the stove, sparking a fire in the kitchen.
Attala County Fire Department crews responded quickly, extinguished the flames, and ventilated the home. No injuries were reported.
