Fire at Local Mill in Attala County Thursday Night

A fire was reported at Attala Steel on Attala Road 2247 around 10:25 p.m. Thursday, October 23.

The blaze started in a hydraulic lift but was out when firefighters arrived.

It is unclear at this time whether the incident will impact production.
