Two Kosciusko Whippets football players will play in an all-star game this weekend.
Linebacker Rokari Covington and offensive lineman Jeremiah Wynter will represent Kosciusko in the Bernard Blackwell North/South All-Star Game Saturday, Dec. 20 in Gulfport. Both will play for the north team.
During the 2025 season, Covington led the Whippets in total tackles (113) and tackles for loss (12). He also had 3 sacks, 2 fumble recoveries and 1 interception.
On the offensive side of the ball, Wynter helped lead the Kosciusko offense that averaged 347 total yards per game and set a record for points (550) scored in a single season.
The Bernard Blackwell North/South All-Star Game is put on by the Mississippi Association of Coaches and will be played at Gulfport High School beginning at 11:30 am.
Tickets to the game are $10 and will be available at the gate and through the GoFan website.
The game will be streamed online through FNUTL.com.
