Mississippi Blood Services is urging residents to donate blood during an upcoming community blood drive in Attala County as supplies across the state remain dangerously low.
The blood drive is scheduled for Monday, Jan. 12, at the Attala County Co-op in Kosciusko. Donations will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event is part of a series of January community blood drives being held statewide in recognition of National Blood Donor Month.
All donors will receive a special thank-you gift at the time of donation. In addition, anyone who donates blood between Jan. 1 and Jan. 31 will be entered into a drawing to win one of four 60-inch televisions, ahead of Super Bowl Sunday.
Walk-ins are welcome at the Attala County drive. More information on blood donation opportunities is available through Mississippi Blood Services.
