A controlled burn on Attala Rd 4121 in Sallis got out of hand Monday afternoon.
Attala County Fire Department and Sallis Volunteers were called to the area around 1:15 p.m.
Firefighters arrived to find around 3/4 of an acre burning behind a mobile home. The blaze was quickly extinguished.
