The Kosciusko Whippets opened the 2026 baseball season on the road at Philadelphia playing the Rockets of Neshoba Central. The Whippets broke a 2-2 tie in the top of the 3rd inning scoring 3 runs to go ahead 5-2 and would add two more runs in the top of the 5th inning to go ahead 7-2. The Rockets added 1 run in the bottom of the 5th and 2 more runs in the bottom of the 6th inning to close the gap to a 2 run lead for Kosciusko however no additional runs scored in the game giving the Whippets a 7-5 win in their season opener. Braydon Rigby was named tonight’s Autumn Ridge Dental player of the game.
