A man lying face down in the roadway was reported to Attala County Communications Monday afternoon just after 2:30 p.m.
Kosciusko Police and EMS were dispatched to Hwy 12 near Jordan Funeral Home after initial reports indicated a man had been struck by a vehicle.
Officers arrived and spoke to the man who stated he had not been hit. It turns out the man was under the influence and possibly fell or laid down in the road. Luckily for him, he was uninjured.
