KOSCIUSKO, Miss.–A grass fire was reported Saturday morning about 3:30 in east Attala County.
The fire was on Hwy. 14 east near Attala Rd. 5105.
Providence, Central and Ethel firefighters were dispatched to the fire.
When firefighters arrived they reported the fire was near the road and was moving south. The Forestry Commission was notified. Meanwhile firefighters got the fire knocked fown to some degree after about an hour.
Firefighters left the fire just before 6 a.m.
The fire caught back up before 9 a.m. and firefighters were called back out. It was reported that the fire was still contained.
