A woods fire burned an estimated 5-10 acres off Attala Rd. 5015 Wednesday afternoon.
The fire was reported just before 3 p.m., and Attala County Fire Department, along with Providence and Zama volunteer firefighter were called to respond.
According to reports, crews determined the blaze was deep into the woods and was difficult to access. The Mississippi Forestry Commission was requested to assist in containing the fire.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
