The Ethel Lady Tigers are headed to the third round of the MHSAA 1A Softball Playoffs after defeating West Lincoln 19–7 in six innings Monday night in Game 3 of their second-round series.
Ethel jumped out to a huge start, scoring nine runs in the first inning to take early control. West Lincoln answered with two runs in the third and five in the fourth, but Ethel kept the offense rolling with three runs in the fourth, three in the fifth, and four in the sixth to seal the run-rule victory.
Ethel finished with 19 runs on 16 hits, while West Lincoln scored 7 runs on 4 hits.
With the win, Ethel advances to the third round, where the Lady Tigers will face Stringer in the next best-of-three playoff series.
