McAdams High School delivered a standout performance at the MHSAA State Track and Field Championships, highlighted by both individual dominance and relay success in Class 1A competition.
Leading the way, Jamarquse Spivey once again demonstrated his dominance on the track, capturing the state championship in the 100-meter dash for the fourth consecutive year. He added to his legacy by also winning the 200-meter dash state title, closing out a remarkable career at McAdams as one of Class 1A’s most accomplished sprinters.


Spivey also played a key role in relay competition, helping the McAdams Bulldogs 4×100-meter relay team of Spivey, Andre Brown, Marshaun Lowery, and Alonzo Teague secure a second-place finish, turning in a strong performance against top competition.

In relay action, the McAdams Lady Bulldogs 4×200-meter relay team also brought home a state title. The group of Tamila Wise, Aniyshia Gladney, Kimaria Lewis, and Taleeyha Brown delivered a championship performance marked by speed, precision, and teamwork, earning the top spot on the podium.
In the 400-meter dash, McAdams added two more top finishes, with Kimaria Lewis placing third and Tamila Wise finishing fourth, both turning in strong efforts and representing the program well on the state stage.

Additional performances for McAdams included Kaleeyha Brown, who also contributed in the 4×200-meter relay effort, while Taleeyha Brown added a seventh-place finish in the 100-meter hurdles. In the 300-meter hurdles, Skylar Winters placed fourth, rounding out another strong showing in the hurdle events.
The performances add to a strong showing for McAdams athletes representing McAdams High School, as the program continues to compete at a high level among the state’s Class 1A schools.
