A Kid & Pet Parade will help kick off Kosciusko’s America 250 Celebration Saturday, June 27, beginning a full day of patriotic activities and community events.
Lineup for the parade will begin at 1:30 p.m., with the parade stepping off at 2:00 p.m. Participants are encouraged to bring children, pets, wagons, strollers, and decorated entries while wearing red, white, and blue in celebration of America’s 250th birthday.
The event is open to children of all ages. Pets must be friendly, vaccinated, and approved prior to participation. Registration is $1 at the KAP office.
The parade will serve as the official kickoff to the America 250 Celebration, which will also feature games, entertainment, historical demonstrations, a Veterans Recognition Program, fireworks, and additional activities throughout the day.
Organizers encourage community participation in the celebration marking 250 years of American history. Further details about the full schedule of events will be released as the date approaches.
