Heat Stress Easing, Heavy Rain the Next Concern

A cold front is forecast to drop into Mississippi this evening touching off rain showers from the northwest and helping to limit the worst of today’s heat stress to areas generally along and southwest of a Laurel-Jackson line.  The National Weather Service still expects periods of heavy rain during the coming week with two to four inch totals possible.
