LEXINGTON, Miss–Donald Wilson’s conviction and second degree murder and felon in possession of a firearm charges has been overturned and thrown out by the Mississippi Court of Appeals.
But, He is still going to be held in prison until the case goes back to a grand jury. The main reason that the Holmes County man’s conviction was overturned is that the indictment against him was defective. In fact, the murder indictment did not even allege that he had killed Christopher Robertson, the victim in the case.
Robertson was murdered in 2016. Wilson was indicted the next year.
