Less Heat Today But Storms Possible for Some

Temperatures will be dropping back to their summertime normals across the local area today with highs in the lower 90s.  Showers and thunderstorms will help to limit the heat stress and no heat advisory will be in effect today.  But some of those storms could produce damaging winds this afternoon.  There’s a Level-1 “marginal” risk of isolated severe storms across southern Leake and southwestern Holmes counties.
