The Historic Downtown Kosciusko Square will host the annual “Meet the Whippets 2026” rally Thursday, Aug. 27, bringing together local residents to celebrate area students, athletes, coaches, and band members.
The community event is set to begin at 6:30 p.m. and will feature a variety of family-friendly activities throughout the evening, including face painting, photo opportunities, and festivities designed to build local school spirit ahead of the upcoming season.
Among the highlighted attractions is the Whippet Bake Shop, an interactive booth featuring baked goods prepared and sold directly by local students.
Attendees are encouraged to show their community support by wearing school colors, maroon and white, to help fill the square.
Reminder: Madison and Jefferson streets around the square will begin closing starting at 5:00 p.m.
