Here Comes the Heat Again

Expect increasing heat stress in this part of central Mississippi during the coming week.   Today’s highs will be slightly above normal in the mid 90s.  But some places, like Durant, will already see the heat index climbing up close to 105 this afternoon.  By Tuesday, triple digit heat indices are forecast areawide with feels-like temperatures around 105 in Kosciusko, Carthage and Philadelphia and up to 110 in Durant.
