Kosciusko quarterback Caiden Wade has been named the MS Gridiron / Capital Sports MS Player of the Week following a dominant performance that led the Whippets to a 55-35 victory over Neshoba Central in Week 1.
Wade led the Whippets high-powered offensive output for Kosciusko, accounting for six total touchdowns. Through the air, the senior completed 19 of 29 passes for 347 yards and three touchdowns. He was also dominant on the ground, rushing 10 times for 111 yards and adding another three scores to seal the win.
Wade’s isn’t the only Whippet being recognized for a performance against Neshoba Central. Two of his primary offensive weapons also earned Statewide Top Performer honors for their roles in the 20-point win:

Jontavious Roundtree, WR: Hauled in seven receptions for an 205 yards and three touchdowns.

C.J. Sandifer, RB: Carried the ball 15 times for 116 yards and two touchdowns.
Together, the trio accounted for all eight of the Whippets’ touchdowns in the offensive explosion against the Rockets.
