During opening statements, prosecutors alleged that Bryan Weaver had two motives for killing his then-wife, Tracy Weaver: an affair with his now-wife, Angel McAdams Weaver, and at least $500,000 in life insurance benefits he stood to receive following Tracy’s death.
Mr. Weaver’s initial interview with law enforcement was viewed in court today, and multiple law enforcement officers testified.

Opening statements from both the prosecution and the defense concluded this morning.
The prosecution has begun calling witnesses and presenting evidence, including photographs taken at the crime scene.
Court has recessed for lunch and will reconvene at 12:45 p.m.
