The Martha Jo Leslie State Veterans Home is reaching out to the community for candy donations ahead of its annual trick-or-treat celebration.
Each Halloween, hundreds of local students visit the facility to collect treats, show off their costumes, and visit with residents.
Facility staff say the beloved tradition is a highlight of the season for veterans, but community support is essential to make it possible.
Individual candy donations can be dropped off at the Veterans Home, located at 310 Autumn Ridge Drive, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Anyone unable to deliver candy in person can call 662-289-7809 and ask for Brittany or Mary to schedule a staff pickup.
