Around 5:45 PM on Tuesday, the Attala County Fire Department was dispatched to a woods fire on Attala Rd. 1102.
ACFD Chief Tim Cox says a downed power line along a utility right-of-way was to blame for the blaze.
The Forestry Commission was called to secure a lane around the fire, and less than 1 acre burned.
