The Holmes Community College Bulldogs traveled to Raymond tonight to play the Eagles of Hinds Community College. The Eagles put the first points on the scoreboard and had a 7 point lead going into the 2nd quarter. The game was delayed early in the 2nd quarter due to lightning and rain in the area. When the game restarted, the Bulldogs scored to tie the game at 7-7. In the second half, the Eagles scored twice in the 3rd quarter to take a 21-7 lead into the final quarter. Neither team was able to add points in the 4th quarter as rain continued throughout the second half giving the Eagles a 21-7 victory in the game. Jer’Kel Ivy was named the Sullivan’s Drugs and Gifts player of the game. Next week the Bulldogs return to Goodman to host Coahoma Community College. Kickoff at 6:30pm with the pregame show on the air on Breezy 103.7 at 6:00pm.
