Holmes Community College will welcome alumni, students, and community members to its Goodman Campus on Thursday, Oct. 22, for Homecoming 2026. The full day of festivities features athletic showcases, musical performances, and alumni recognitions, concluding with the Bulldogs taking on Mississippi Delta Community College on the gridiron at 3 p.m.
The morning kicks off at 8:30 a.m. with a Visual Arts Show inside McMorrough Library showcasing student artwork. The library will remain open for visitors until kickoff. Sports fans can catch open athletic practices starting at 9 a.m. for the baseball and softball teams, followed by a 9:15 a.m. Lady Bulldogs basketball practice in the newly renovated Frank Branch Coliseum.
Career and educational displays also take center stage early in the day. A Career and Transfer Fair will begin at 9:30 a.m. in the Grove under the white tent outside McDaniel Hall, while Workforce Development hosts the Major’s Truck Expo in the Chapel parking lot at 10 a.m., allowing guests to inspect large industry training vehicles.
Formal alumni recognitions will take place at 10 a.m. in McDaniel Auditorium. This year’s honorees include:
- Alumna of the Year: Allison McBride Schuler of Kosciusko
- Distinguished Service Award: Margaret Monteith Davis of Grenada
- Young Alumnus of the Year: Dr. Dudley Jacarious Moore of San Diego
- Veteran of the Year: Ret. Col. James Bridges of Kosciusko
Following the awards ceremony, the Coachmen Singers and Holmes Connection! perform at 10:20 a.m.
Midday activities shift back to the campus grounds at 11 a.m. with family games in the Grove and lunch options across Carroll Cafeteria, Lorance Student Center, and local food trucks parked in front of McDaniel Hall. Former players will take to the court for a Basketball Alumni Game at noon in Frank Branch Coliseum, while the Holmes Chorale presents a multi-style musical performance in the Chapel on the Hill at 12:15 p.m.
Tailgating grounds open at 1 p.m. on the football practice field, featuring live music from the main stage, class reunions, and department tents. The Holmes Alumni Association will hold its annual meeting at 1:45 p.m. inside the Alumni Tent, leading into a school-wide pep rally at 2 p.m. with the Holmes cheerleaders and band.
Pre-game ceremonies at Ras Branch Field begin at 2:25 p.m. as the Holmes Marching Band makes its entrance. The Homecoming Court presentation and queen crowning will take place at 2:30 p.m., followed by an on-field presentation of the 2026 alumni honorees at 2:45 p.m. The Holmes Chorale will perform the national anthem at 2:55 p.m. just prior to the 3 p.m. kickoff against Mississippi Delta Community College.
