The Attala County Fire Department and Sallis Volunteer Fire Department responded to a woods fire on Attala Rd. 4237 in the McAdams area Tuesday morning.
Firefighters were called to the scene at approximately 11:13 a.m. after a burn pile from about a week ago rekindled and spread into the surrounding woods. The fire caused minor damage to a nearby shed.
ACFD Chief Tim Cox urges residents to avoid outdoor burning at this time as conditions are very dry and not ideal for burning.
