McAdams senior defensive lineman Darrin Fleming has been selected to represent the North squad in the annual Bernard Blackwell Classic All-Star Football Game.
The state showcase brings together top senior talent from across Mississippi for a North vs. South matchup. Kickoff is set for 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 19, at Gulfport High School Stadium.
Fleming earned his all-star nod after anchoring the Bulldogs’ front seven through the first stretch of the season. In four games, the disruptive defensive lineman has racked up 27 total tackles, including 17 solo stops and three tackles for loss, to go along with a sack, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery, and two pass breakups.
His biggest performance came in a 20-14 victory over J.Z. George, where Fleming put together a dominant stat line with nine tackles, a sack, two pass deflections, a forced fumble, and a recovery to help secure the McAdams win.
Though currently uncommitted, Fleming holds collegiate offers from UT Martin, Pearl River Community College, and Coahoma Community College.
Fleming will head down to Gulfport in mid-December to join the North roster as they gear up for the Dec. 19 clash on the Coast.
