The Attala County Library has announced a schedule change for its upcoming book signing with Mississippi author and snake expert Terry L. Vandeventer.
Originally scheduled for October 19th, the event has been postponed and will now take place Monday, Nov. 16.
Vandeventer will be visiting the library to discuss his book, Mississippi Snakes: Their Identification, Natural History, and Influence on the Culture of the Magnolia State. The event gives local residents an opportunity to meet the author, ask questions, and learn more about the native snake species that call Mississippi home.
During the visit, Vandeventer will share insights on identifying local species, their habitats, diets, and the truth behind common myths surrounding snakes. His book features more than 350 color photographs alongside stories, facts, and a look at the cultural role snakes have played in Mississippi’s history.
Copies of the book will be available to purchase and have signed by the author during the event.
