The Attala County Fire Department and McCool Volunteers responded to a vehicle fire on Attala Rd. 2140 near McCool around 9:15 a.m. Sunday, October 25.
According to scanner traffic, the caller reported that no buildings were in danger, but they were worried the fire could spread to the woods.
Volunteers had the fire contained when county firefighters arrived on scene. The fire was completely extinguished, and the incident is under investigation.
