Attala County Emergency Management officials are urging people of central Mississippi to stay off the roads if at all possible.
EMS Director Danny Townsend said he is already seeing ice on bridges and hilltops throughout the county.
He said the dropping temperatures will cause conditions to get worse as the day goes on.
Closer to sundown, the roads could become extremely dangerous.
