At 1:35 pm Kosciusko Police and City Fire with assistance from Attala Fire were dispatched to 711 Fairground Street for a report of a house fire. The caller said there was a lot of smoke coming from the structure. Emergency personnel arrived on scene and reported flames coming out of the windows of the home.
MedStat EMS was called to the location in case medical service were needed. Kosciusko Water and Light were also called to the home to cut power.
There has been no word on the cause of the fire and no injuries were reported.
All units cleared at 4:00 pm.
