Power is out to most of Kosicusko and portions of Attala County according to Emergency Management Danny Townsend.
Townsend said crews are currently working to assess damage throughout the area.
He also advised for people to stay off at home if at all possible.
Too many cars on the roads have already hindered emergency crews from being able to get where they are needed.
