McADAMS, Miss.–A woman who had apparently overdosed was administered Narcan Sunday night by an Attala County deputy as he waited for an ambulance.
Narcan is the brand name for naloxone, a drug that can reverse the effects of an overdose from opioids.
The woman was found sitting in an SUV and was unresponsive Sunday night about 10, in the parking lot of McAdams Quick Stop.
It was unclear if she recovered.
