McCOOL, Miss.–There was no fire reported, but when a tree came down in McCool Saturday during storms, it brought a live wire with it.
That was reported at 4:20 p.m. on Smyth St.
A volunteer firefighter stayed on the scene to make sure no one came near the wire while Entergy was on the way.
Entergy was there within a half hour to begin repairs.
A couple of other trees were reported down Saturday afternoon.
One of those was on the Natchez Trace near Hwy. 12 about 7 p.m. Deputies were able to clear that one up with chainsaws without park rangers.
Attala County was under a tornado warning as a line of storms came through, though no tornado touchdowns were reported in the county.
