SALLIS, Miss.–A grass fire was reported Friday evening near Sallis on Hwy. 429.
Firefighters were sent to the scene just before 6:30 p.m.
When the fire was dispatched there were no structures in danger. But, it was expected that if the fire spread there could possibly be some structures in danger.
After just over an hour fighting the fire, the firefighters were done and left.
Another Fire
Another fire on Hwy. 429 was reported at 3:44 Saturday morning.
When firefighters arrived they found about a half an acre burning. Several fire units were called out to fight the fire.
