The Kosciusko Lady Whippets were in action tonight at the Whippet softball field playing the opening game of the 4A Softball playoffs hosting the Amory Lady Panthers in a best of three series. The Lady Whippets were up 7-0 after 5 innings before the Lady Panthers broke the ice by scoring 1 run in the top of the 6th inning. The Lady Whippets were quick to answer in the bottom of the inning scoring 4 runs to go ahead 11-1 and end the game by the “10 run rule” and go one up on the Panthers. Game two of the series is scheduled to be played tomorrow afternoon at 1:00pm in the Amory area weather permitting.
