KOSCIUSKO, Miss.–A large tree fell across the Natchez Trace Parkway, blocking traffic Saturday morning.
Attala County deputies were called to the scene about 4:30 and reported it was a very large tree, and had both lanes blocked at mile marker 177, in the northern part of the county.
When deputies requested Natchez Trace maintenance personnel respond, they reported back that they had another large tree they were dealing with several miles up the road.
The tree was finally cleared around 6:30.
