No Promises, But Raises Are a Possibility in Kosciusko

KOSCIUSKO, Miss.–The Kosciusko Mayor and Board of Alderman have just begun working on the city budget for the next fiscal year. Mayor Tim Kyle told Breezynews that raises for city workers are a possibility, though the board cannot make any promises.

“That’s something that’s very important with the inflation that we are experiencing right now,” Kyle on “Minute With the Mayor”.

Since they are early in the process, which is quite involved, no details about where the money would come from are clear.

“That’s a strong thing we are really leaning to. We’ve got to get some people some money this year.”

Kyle said the board is also looking at what vehicles the city might need and if they can afford new equipment for parks.
