Remaining Dirt Cheap Stores in Central Mississippi to Close

CARTHAGE, Miss.–If you like sifting through hundreds of items to find deals at Dirt Cheap in Carthage or Louisville, the stores will soon end that pleasure for you by closing.

That stores, along with all remaining Dirt Cheap locations, are closing soon, though the company has not given an exact date.

The company is going out of business and has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

Dirt Cheap, which is headquartered in Hattiesburg, has 62 stores in eight states. The Carthage and Louisville stores are the last ones open in this area.
