KOSCIUSKO, Miss.–Paramedics, deputies, volunteer firefighters and rescuers went in blinded by the dark and hampered by extremely rough terrain to bring a man out of the woods who had been hurt in a tractor accident Saturday night.

Firefighters, paramedics and deputies had a tough time finding the man in the dark. At one point it was reported that the person was trapped under a tree. However, that turned out not to be the case. But, as more rescuers arrived they all had a tough time finding the wreck.

Paramedics were brought in using GPS coordinates.

It was unclear from radio traffic how the wreck happened. But, the man was brought out on a special board to stabilize people who may have had serious spinal injuries. According to radio traffic he was brought out of the woods on a four-wheeler.

Attala County first responders did an excellent job. Only it was not a tractor rollover. It appears he was attempting to move a tree out of the way and it boomeranged and hit him in the face.
