Storms Before the Storm: An Afternoon of Domestic Calls

KOSCIUSKO, Miss.–Attala County deputies responded to several calls for domestic disturbances Saturday afternoon.

The first was on Attala Rd. 3034, at about 1:30. A woman was taken to jail in that one.

The second call was just before 3:30 on Attala Rd. 3022. No weapons were reported and the man and woman were already separated by the time deputies were called. That call may have involved a man taking a woman’s phone, then trying to hit her with it before throwing it in the woods.

Another domestic disturbance call came in almost simultaneously n Attala Rd. 2113. That call was later canceled when one of the people left.

About 4;15 a grandmother called for deputies from her car, saying her grandson had torn up the house on Attala Rd. 4116. Deputies responded and reported the young man had taken his proper meds and was calm and ready to eat catfish.
