KOSCIUSKO, Miss.–Two large trees were reported down Saturday evening about the same time. Both were called in around 6:30 p.m.
One tree was on Hwy. 19 south. That was about five miles past the intersection with Hwy. 14.
The tree had been all the way across the road, according to the person who called it in. They were able to clear some of it with a chainsaw, but a power line was also down. So, they abandoned the attempt.
A second tree was reported down on Attala Rd. 5207 near New Hope Church.
Some heavy equipment was needed to get that one out of the road.
