SALLIS, Miss.–The cause of a fire on Attala Rd. 4045 in the Sallis area Saturday night may have been a transformer blowing.
The person who called in the fire, shortly after 9 p.m., said that the fire started after a loud sound. A firefighter observed that it looked like a blown transformer.
At the same time a fire was reported on Attala Rd. 2252 in the McCool area.
That grass fre was quick-moving and trucks were scrambling to get more water. Entergy was notified that power lines were involved in the fire.
