Holmes Bulldogs Drop Homecoming to Lions 51-15

The Holmes Community College Bulldogs played host to the East Mississippi Community College Lions from Scooba during homecoming day but fall short to the Lions by 30 points, 45-15. Holmes trailed the Lions 35-9 at halftime after a 30 minute lightning delay in the second quarter that eliminated the homecoming halftime show. The remainder of the game was played in heavy rain at Goodman. Holmes added a touchdown late in the 3rd quarter while the Lions scored 10 points in the 3rd and 7 points in the 4th to win the game 51-15. The Holmes Bulldogs concluded the regular season tonight with a 8-2 season record. Boswell Media Sports will keep you informed about possible post season play for the Bulldogs after games scheduled for tomorrow have concluded. Jeremy Atkins was named tonight’s Sullivan’s Drugs and Gifts player of the game.
