The Bulldogs hosted the Co- Lin Wolves Thursday night to open the 2018 season. The Wolves won the toss and elected to receive the ball but turned the ball over on a fumble early in the opening drive. The Bulldogs moved the ball down the field but failed to score. The Wolves next drive resulted in a passing touchdown making the score (0-7). Holmes would then score the next drive ending the first quarter in a tie (7-7). Early in the second quarter, the Bulldogs pick up fumble and finished with a 21 yard field goal making the score (10-7). The Wolves held the Bulldogs offense quiet the rest of the half and scored two touchdowns ending the half with the score being (10-21). The Bulldogs lit up the field in the third quarter shutting down the Wolves offense and finishing the quarter with two touchdowns (20-21). The fourth quarter was jammed packed with emotions as the wolves took the lead in the first drive of the quarter making the score (20-28). The Bulldogs answered back with a touchdown and failed two point conversion making the score (26-28). The Bulldogs finished with a game winning 40-yard field goal to start with a (1-0) record for the season.
