CARTHAGE, Miss.–Two cars were being chased shortly after 11 p.m. Friday night by Leake County deputies. One of the cars may have drawn attention when passing illegally, according to radio communications.
The chase was on Hwy. 35 north of Carthage and south of Attala County. The deputy pursuing the cars initially, did not report a speed.
One car, a green Mustang, was stopped at Pleasant Grove Rd. and Hwy. 35.
A second car kept going and was stopped near Singleton. That was a black Dodge Charger.
It was unclear from police radio whether the drivers were arrested.
